Heat Of the week

Hosted by matthew munoz

Venue 578 is scouting local hip-hop talent to have a chance at competing for public exposure. During this weekly segment, we encourage artists to submit a song every Monday to participate in this event. Five songs will be selected by Venue 578 to go head to head in an online poll. The song with the most votes will be crowned Heat of the Week. The winner will receive a full bio page on our website, added to our Soundcloud, and have the possibility to perform at the venue. If thats not exciting enough, Venue 578 has now partnered with WHJM 102 Jamz. The winning song will be played on the Plugged N Radio segment at WJHM102JAMZ.com  on Wednesdays between 6 and 7 pm hosted by Val. More information and links are posted below.

submission monday's

Venue 578 & 102 Jamz are excited to begin this weekly segment of supporting local hip-hop talent. Every week, we invite local rappers to submit their music to us via email. We had many artists send in their songs, and we were thrilled to get to hear what our city is producing finally. Are you a local hip-hop artist? Get your name buzzing and your music heard!

Cast your vote!

We listened to everything we were sent, and we narrowed it down to our five favorite songs of the week. The artists’ names and a link to their songs are displayed below. Please listen to all the songs and vote on which song you think is the best. Spread the word to everyone you know in the area that makes hip-hop. I think they'd appreciate the competition and promotion.
