Born and raised in Orlando, Cianna Piercey has flourished as an artist, with her work being displayed at several showcases including the Winter Park Arts Festival, City Arts Factory, and the Purple Orchid Café. Cianna has been a life-long visual artist, painting since before she can remember when her mother would leave random art supplies for her to explore at her own desire.  This passion for creativity has brought her to where she is today, and her paintings have been an integral part of the growth and development of the art world in Orlando.

Cianna’s creations explore the ineffable, with her focus on altered state of consciousness and the inner workings of the human mind.  Cianna paints to evoke feelings and convey messages, but art also serves as a tool for her to navigate the existential questions of life.  She says that through her use of black lights and vibrant color, she attempts to “render dimensionally-unbound abstract hallucinations into two-dimensional representations.”

Cianna is currently studying psychology and studio art at UCF and hopes to one day practice as an art therapist. She is an avid believer that art is not merely expressive, but also has the potential to heal.  It is with this need to help others that Cianna plans to fuse her passions, and offer the world a vision that provokes not only thought, but action.
